About Us

Sisterhood of Spirits was (finally) founded in 2023 by Elizabeth Z Pardue of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina after decades of collecting and sharing lore. Inspired by the work of mid-20th century paranormal collector Nancy Roberts, Pardue has spent a lifetime extensively researching folklore in various forms.  In recent years, she's shared this knowledge through writing/directing theatrical performances relating to the paranormal, [LINK TO "Moonlight Frights"] and working as a story scout for the podcast “Snap Judgment Presents: Spooked”.

Currently, Pardue is directing the Sisterhood as we launch our ghost walk, storytelling tour, mercantile shoppe, and first publication.

Who We Are

Sisterhood of Spirits LLC is a collective of  folklorists, creators, and performers from all walks of life…and beyond.

For more than 30 years, we’ve worked to preserve the Southern history that's best shared in kitchens, on front porches, and around campfires. Although we grow and forage our own herbal remedies and practice a little "granny magic" here and there, we specialize in the collection of legends and lore from the Old North State. The Sisterhood is proud to carry on the tradition of storytelling through sharing legends of North Carolina's ghosts, cryptids, and mysteries.

We are always looking for more Sisters to join us. If you have a story, a recipe, a haunted spot, or a question to share, don't be afraid to make contact.
