About Us
Liz Z Pardue, CEO
After years of small projects and events, Liz Z Pardue officially founded Sisterhood of Spirits, LLC in 2023. A North Carolina native, Pardue has spent almost 40 years collecting and sharing Southern history through its lore, inspired by 20th century folklore writer Nancy Roberts. Through her passion for researching paranormal legends and personal accounts, Pardue has exchanged stories with believers across the globe, sharing her findings with anyone who'll listen across various media. She's told ghosts stories live on WSJS, lent her vocal talents to the Carolina Haints podcast, investigated stories for Strange Carolinas , and produced, wrote & directed "Moonlight Frights: Campfire Stories, of the Carolinas." In 2023 she worked as a story scout for KQED's podcast “Snap Judgment Presents: Spooked" and started Fuquay Ghosts, a small project of the Sisterhood that featured Downtown Ghost Walks, a collaboration with Fuquay-Varina Downtown Association. She is currently collaborating with other Sisters on the publication of their first anthology.
Who We Are
Sisterhood of Spirits LLC is a collective of folklorists, creators, and performers from all walks of life…and beyond.
For more than 30 years, we’ve worked to preserve the Southern history that's best shared in kitchens, on front porches, and around campfires. Although we grow and forage our own herbal remedies and practice a little "granny magic" here and there, we specialize in the collection of legends and lore from the Old North State. The Sisterhood is proud to carry on the tradition of storytelling through sharing legends of North Carolina's ghosts, cryptids, and mysteries.
