FVGhosts Presents Accessibility Nights:

Haunted History Comes Alive for All in Fuquay-Varina

Saturday, October 18 at 7:00 PM

Sunday, October 19 at 3:00 PM

FVGhosts is thrilled to present Accessibility Nights, an all-new indoor theatrical experience that brings Fuquay’s haunted lore out of the shadows and opens the doors wide for all.

Following two sold-out seasons of outdoor walking ghost tours, FVGhosts is reimagining its immersive storytelling as a fully accessible stage production. FVGhosts’ Accessibility Nights are specifically designed to welcome audience members with mobility, hearing, or sight consideration to share the thrills of the Most Haunted Small Town in the South!

The show features:

  • ASL Interpretation through The Interpreter Network, Inc. for guests with hearing loss
  • Audio Description services through Arts Access NC for guests with vision impairments
  • Accessible seating, wheelchair parking, and venue access.
  • Sensory-aware storytelling techniques
  • Live performances that dramatize real legends, ghosts, and history from Fuquay-Varina.

Since the late 1800s, when tales of Fuquay-Varina’s mystical healing spring first spread across the region, the town has drawn visitors captivated by its supernatural secrets.

For generations, residents have only dared to whisper about its most chilling legends from portals to the underworld hidden in elegant downtown estates, to cryptid creatures prowling the shadows, to countless ghostly encounters still felt today.

This October those whispers rise to a dramatic crescendo.

Written and Directed by Elizabeth Z. Pardue

Watch Full Performance

Our first original production, "Moonlight Frights" debuted Halloween weekend 2021 at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center. Written by Elizabeth Z Pardue, this spooky comedy presents North Carolina history through stories of its most beloved legends. An ensemble cast takes audiences from the Appalachians to the Outer Banks to meet monsters, ghosts, witches, and Blackbeard himself.

This family-friendly one-act performance is as educational as it is hilarious and was written with local primary-grade curricula in mind. Currently, the Sisterhood working on publishing this script for public licensing. If your local theatre or school is interested in licensing this play for private production, let us know! Serious inquiries only.

Come, Sit a Spell...

The Sisterhood of Spirits is a collective of storytellers, folklorists, artists, & historians from all walks of life and beyond.

After generations of research, we're proud to share our love of Southern lore and traditions through storytelling events, ghost tours, theatrical productions, and published anthologies.

Aside from our storytelling ventures, we strive to carry on our traditions of folk remedies and "granny magic" through apparel, wearable art, medicinal teas, and house decor. We're always offering something new!

We have a mission to honor and preserve the type of Southern history that is best told around campfires, created in kitchens, grown in gardens, or shared on front porches.

S'get yaself a glass of sweet brew and mosey around.

How can we enchant you?
